A bit of background…
Blanchet’s passion for wood began 50 years ago.
Our business has changed, we have grown, innovated...but we’re still all about wood
And we are still firmly rooted in our local neighbourhood and remain a company of manageable proportions.
Expertise, innovation and close-knit relations
This is what Blanchet offers its customers
The BLANCHET approach
- 3 production sites
- 48 employees
- 6 million packagings per year
- Quality control and continuous improvement on all procedures
- An integrated chain of services: research and development, design, storage space, logistics etc.
A one-stop shop for packaging, from drawing up specifications to final delivery!
Insist on high standards
PEFC certificate obtained in 2005:
SAS Blanchet guarantees that the wood used for its packaging products comes from sustainably managed forests.
1 tree harvested = 1 tree replanted
We use poplar, which is suitable for contact with food and grows rapidly.
Poplar is also adaptable and printable. It has a smooth surface and a pleasant texture.
At Blanchet, quality also means safe procedures:
HACCP approval for all production procedures (approval issued by an independent body)
ISPM 15 compliancy - certified by the DRAAF (local authorities) for naturally heat treated wood.
This process, which stabilises the wood, enables our wooden packaging to be used for exports.
This insistence on high standards is also reflected in Blanchet’s letter of commitment.
Our company is committed to its principles and guarantees customers a partnership based on:
Values, practices, and Certifications
that are absolutely transparent and about which we make sure you are informed!
A commitment to ethics
For Blanchet, an ethical approach is a whole, in which an aim for quality is part of an overall sustainable development approach that places the product in its social context.
That’s why all BLANCHET products are made in France by teams based in our local region, to which we are very attached.
Constant innovation
Blanchet takes a keen interest in all facets of innovation:
- A new product each year: oysterbox®, easyKlips®…
- Through our membership of professional bodies, we monitor prospects for the wooden packaging of tomorrow
- We have partnerships with design schools..
To open up new avenues in terms of techniques, design and marketing.
